Prime46forty brings together Carroll Bull and Tim Westby-Gibson to give Williamsburg a new and unique dining establishment.   Step inside and gaze around – eclectic, vivid lighting, soft leather seats, distinctive wine racks and muted flooring envelope you warmly.  Blue pearl granite and tile walls heighten your vision and draw you toward the bar for Prime libations.

The Prime bar is the place to gather and see friends who have come to sample our offerings of wine, cocktails and craft brews. Carroll has worked with numerous local and national purveyors to bring an eclectic mix of rare and fantastic wines, most of which are offered by the glass.  The craft beer selections on tap change frequently, but are always unique small batches.  We’ve also done very extensive testing to make sure we bring you clever cocktails that taste great.  Our staff is quick and engaging and knowledgeable – just peruse the bar list, make your selection and quickly you will have your drink in hand.

Now let’s try to capture Tim’s philosophy of food at Prime. It’s simple – take the best ingredients you can find and “don’t mess em up”.  We feature the finest in mid-western beef from Allen Brother’s steaks, sustainable seafood from around the world, and locally sourced all natural produce from local and regional farmers. Tim’s talent lies in creatively combining all these elements in select dishes that thrill your palate.  Each crafted dish envelopes you in flavors, aromas and textures that are second to none.  Nightly specials will astound.  Consistency in preparation will draw you back to Prime again and again.

And don’t worry – you can satisfy your cravings late at night as well.  Prime will be the only upscale restaurant serving a gourmet, freshly prepared late night bar menu – come enjoy our Saturday night jazz entertainment and know that if hunger strikes we have you covered.  Night owls rejoice!!!

    I visited this fine restaurant the first time on a referral and what a hit it is! In the past 3 months we’ve averaged going every 1 – 1/2 weeks and can’t wait to go back.
