We enjoyed an incredible Mothers Day meal at Prime. My daughter is quite the Foodie from Atlanta and did not believe just a wonderful meal could be found in Williamsburg. Each bit melted in your mouth as the favors blended to perfection. The service was perfect. Each detailed carried out to the highest level. The soft shell crab was unbelievable. Thanks for a perfect Mothers Day lunch.
My husband and I enjoy trying new restaurants during our annual trip to Williamsburg. This year our choice of Prime46Forty did not disappoint us. We were recognized and warmly welcomed by the lovely owner Carol. The restaurant decor and lighting was beautiful. I especially admired the colorful pillows which accented the artwork. The outstanding cosmos as well as the friendly bartender were greatly enjoyed. Dinner was delightful. My husband’s rack of lamb and my beef filet were melt in your mouth…
We love steak, and Prime 4640 was top notch. Truly “prime” steaks, great wine selection, and an amazing service oriented staff. Kudos to Carol for running such a fine restaurant.
Happy hour is excellent at the bar (appetizers are great and good wine reasonable). Ask about the appetizer specials. The filet was the most tender and delicious I’ve had, anywhere.
This restaurant is an evolution of what was formerly A Carrolls, in the historic district. While this may be a bit more put of the way for travelers, it is well worth the trip. The menu is innovative, featuring fresh local ingredients. The duck entree is a special treat as are daily specials. Service is professional & the decor provides a pleasant evening.
Perfect setting for a couple or two to enjoy eachother’s company with the hum and buzz of the energy of theplace as a pleassant background. Service pleasant and attentive witout being overbearing. And the food. Each dish is very well composed. there’s nothing on that plate that doesn’t belong and the combnation of proteins, vegetables, fruits, sauces and cheeses are spot on for each dish. It’s pricey ($8-$16 appetizers, $22-$38 entrees) but you do get what you pay for. The wine list is varied wi…
A wonderful surprise on the Williamsburg restaurant scene…up to big city expectations! The food and wine were reasonably priced; appetizers and entrees were creative and delicious. The mussels appetizer beats any I have had anywhere! The service was prompt, friendly, and attentive without being the least bit intrusive, the decor modern and appealing. I will be back on my next visit to Williamsburg.
Would eat at this restaurant every day if I could afford it!
Have never had anything but exceptional service with food that deserves 10 stars. Can’t be more pleased!
This restaurant had a great personality, specifically because of our extra fun waiter, Brentley! The atmosphere was very nice and comfortable and the food was very good, but all I can remember is that extra fun waiter and how much fun he made sure we had as we were celebrating our friends birthdays. The wine was good and I remember that the appetizers were great, I had the braised wagyu beef cheek ravioli, black truffle and parsley butter, cipollini onions that were just perfect.
